Welcome to Menorca - Day 3

Pensava que em Menorca não chovia. Não era uma ideia que nunca chovia mas que só o podia acontecer em meses de Inverno.

Estava muito enganada. O dia amanheceu com chuva do tipo que se faz sentir e a nossa primeira visita foi a um centro comercial. Lojas conhecidas? Nenhuma! Como é possível nem ter uma Zara! Bom para economizar.

Seguimos para Mahon enquanto a chuva prosseguia e pensava que seria um dia arruinado. Mas aos poucos o dia melhorou e ficamos pela cidade. Era Domingo e muitos estabelecimentos estavam fechados. Continuamos a nossa tour com passagem pelo porto onde almoçamos num restaurante Italiano. 

I thought in Menorca didn´t rain.

It wasn´t an idea that never rain but that only could happen in the winter months.

I was very wrong. The day dawned with rain the type that is felt and our first visit was to a shopping center. Known stores? None! How can you not have a Zara! Good for saving money.

We continue to Mahon while the rain persisted and I thought it would be a ruined day. But gradually the day amended and we stayed in the city. It was Sunday and many stores were closed. We follow our tour passing through the harbor where we had lunch in an Italian restaurant.

Meio da tarde e seguimos para Es Castell. Uma pequena vila de pescadores do mais lindo e sereno que encontrei na ilha. Houve um arrependimento de não termos almoçado lá mas o simples prazer de sentar numa esplanada, relaxar e abraçar aquela natureza foi do mais valioso.

Midafternoon and we went to Es Castell. A small fishing village of the most beautiful and serene that I found on the island. There was a regret of not having lunch there but the simple pleasure of sitting on the terrace, relax and embrace that nature was the most valuable.

Depois deste “namoro” seguimos para outra vila, Binibeca. Singular arquitectura com casas brancas a lembrar um pouco as paisagens gregas. Numa palavra “ Soberba”.  

É hábito dizer que depois da tempestade vem a calmaria. Na realidade era o que se sentia no final desta tarde. Foi especial visitar a praia de Binibéquer por estas horas, em que estava vazia e mostrou todo o seu esplendor. Único!

Voltamos ao hotel e acabei o dia no relaxante Spa.

Este dia teve direito a publicação exclusiva. Não me tinha apercebido da quantidade de fotos que tiramos mas temos aqui dois dos meus lugares favoritos na ilha. 

Fica a promessa de não me alongar nas publicações das férias.

After this "dating" we went to another village, Binibeca. Unique architecture with white houses a little remembering the Greek landscapes. "Superb" in one word.

It is customary to say that after the storm comes the calm. In fact it was what felt at the end of this afternoon. Visiting Binibequer beach at these hours was special, when was empty and showed its entire splendor. One of a kind!

We returned to the hotel and ended up the day in the relaxing Spa.

This day was entitled to exclusive publication. I didn´t realize the amount of pictures we shoot but we have here two of my favorite places on the island.

It´s a promise not to take longer on the vacation publications.

Tinha o meu pé magoado e só conseguia calçar estes chinelos. Ou isso ou andava descalça, o que também aconteceu. ;)

I had hurt my foot and can only wear slippers. Either that or walked barefoot, which also happened. ;)
