Um olhar sobre  Manarola /  A look on Manarola

Apresento orgulhosamente Cinque Terre.

Favorita? Não tenho. Todas são inesquecíveis!

I proudly present Cinque Terre. Dreams come true, it's true!
Cinque Terre means Five Lands or as I like to call it, Five Villages.
These coastal villages are located on the bottom of mountains on the Italian Riviera. They are part of the Cinque Terre National Park and belong to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Access can be made by boat or by train. The villages are linked by rails in the mountains, which seemed to me imposing and with unrepeatable landscapes. I speak of what I saw from below, because to be prepared to do them was another matter.
We start the day from the Port of La Spezia. The ticket is extremely expensive but what is not in Italy! The trip offers memorable landscapes and reaching the villages by boat is unique. Enchanting for the one-way trips. Due to the short schedules, we ended up having to make the last trips by train.
We start by Riomaggiore which is the first village for those who leave La Spezia and the one that most interested me.
The excitement was a lot and I'm sorry that one day was not enough for everything. We ended up not visiting Corniglia, the middle village due to lack of time. It is the only one not having access by boat but the train stops there. Today, I would organize myself to have more days, to stay and to discover each village in a more detailed way. I got to see a lot is certain but I advise at least two days.
We had lunch in Monterosso, which is the biggest of the five, and the best for shopping. From here we leave for Vernazza where it is worth climbing to Castello Doria. We continue to Manarola where we finish the visits.
After spending the day exploring Cinque Terre villages, we had the well-deserved rest on a narrow path towards Corniglia. High above from the leafy terraces, lined with vineyards and citrus trees, it was possible to have a magnificent view over Manarola, with a breathtaking sunset.
In all the villages we find colorful houses along steep streets, beautiful terraces, unique views, historical landmarks, fishing boats and a vast commerce with fresh local produce.

Favorite? I don´t have. All are unforgettable!
