I can use these two phrases to describe my need for travelling. More than a wish is a necessity for me!
I need to discover, to feel, to smell, learn and to be in different places. I don´t know for sure what it is, but is a need of moving that grows in me. Routine kill me for sure!
So, every time I can I pack up and go!! I have the lucky of living only an hour of distance from Spain. Often is my refuge and it have so much to discover.

These first photos are from the breathtaking  Portuguese National Park Peneda-Gêres.  It was distinguished in the last month by the British newspaper The Guardian.
In an entitled article “ 10 of Europe´s best national parks…. That you´ve probably never heard of”, The Guardian puts  Gerês in 4º place. “These National Parks offer extraordinary landscapes and wildlife- and much less tourists that in the most famous parks in the continent” reads in the article.
These few pictures show the great beauty of this Natural Park!
Passed the border to Spain and visit Torneiros´ ponds. Is a natural source of hot water mixed with the river water that can be used.
It was pity not to have taken bikini because the day invited to baths.

The Celtic village of Santa Trega located on the hill with the same name, is a hill with spectacular surroundings.
The road to Santa Tegra is steep and elevated, but it does offer phenomenal views across the Minho river, separating Portugal from Spain.
The weather was great during my visit and consequently I have amazing pics of the views.
In the other side of the hill you can see the magnitude of Atlantic Ocean.

I recommend and I´ll return for sure!
